Sliema pavements

I wish to draw the attention of the local council to the heavily damaged pavements in Sliema.

I cannot understand why the council does not take this problem into consideration since Sliema has a high proportion of elderly people. These pavements are all broken and damaged and are not taken care of, and when repairs are done, which is very rarely, they are repaired with cement which makes them very slippery and dangerous for people to walk .

Sliema residents are very tired of all this and our protests and complaints at the local council are being ignored. People fall and get hurt but this does not bother anybody since apparently no local council or any government institution can be sued! Action should be taken. Local councils abroad are insured for accidents of this nature, which occur due to lack of street maintenance.
