Malta Squash are drawing up plans for a new National League competition which will start early next month.

"After the success of last season's National Squash KO, we decided to try and give as many players as possible the opportunity of playing competitive squash on a monthly basis," Liz Said, the Malta Squash secretary, said.

"At present, over 50 players have applied to take part in the leagues and we hope to encourage more players of all standards to join in."

The first leagues kick off on October 3.
