For the second year in a row, the Malta Scrabble Club, in collaboration with several sponsors, is set to deliver a very special event for the enjoyment of scores of scrabble and word lovers.
'Scrabble A-Live', to be held this evening at the Golden Tulip Vivaldi Hotel, will once again see the final encounter of this year's H2Only Summer League being shown live on a large screen via a CCTV system provided and operated by Alberta.
A number of innovative features planned for this year's event bear clear testimony to the commitment of the Malta Scrabble Club to allow the general public to discover and savour the beauty and complexity of this most popular of word games.
The most outstanding novelty of this year's Scrabble A-Live will be offered by Maltanet and Datastream, the two sister Internet provider companies. Their input will give scrabble and word lovers all over the world the unique opportunity to follow what promises to be an intriguing scrabble contest live online, by logging onto www.di-ve.com.
Alternatively, interested persons may visit the club's new website, www.maltascrabble.com.
The preparation of such a complex stage and choreography, made possible also by the contribution of Valfrutta juices, Scotts Supermarket and Misto (Women's Wear), would be useless without the participation of the two main actors in this riveting piece of scrabble drama.
David Delicata and Peter Elbourne, who between them have won a staggering 12 national scrabble championships in the last 15 years, have earned themselves the honour to bring scrabble to life in today's final.
