Hamed Namouchi has warned Hearts that playing Rangers on Saturday will be the first major test of their title credentials.

The Rangers midfielder admitted that he has been impressed by the surprise Scottish Premier League leaders but added: "Some of the football has been great, but they haven't played Celtic or Rangers yet. The SPL season has a long way to go."

Hearts maintained their 100 per cent record with a win over Inverness CT on Saturday to remain eight points clear of champions Rangers.

"I have watched some of the Hearts games and they have played some very good football," said Namouchi. "We will work hard to get the points this weekend and we know that we cannot afford to drop any more points."
