On our last visit to Malta in June, my wife broke her leg and was referred to St Luke's Hospital. I must say the service and treatment she received were exceptional. We had no problems at all, the nurses and doctors were very courteous and helpful and they could not do enough for my wife. And we did not have to wait long either.

The holiday was spoiled because of this mishap but we are coming back this month to finish the holiday we started. We have been visiting Malta for many years. So when we read in the English press about this chap who claimed he was kidnapped and press ganged into hospital, it made me angry. In fact it is laughable.

So I would like to give our regards to all the hospital staff in Malta and the Maltese people I've come to know over the years. We received a lot of help from them too, mainly Phyllis, Doris and Mario of the Papillon bar in Bugibba. Thank you all.
