An end to this invasion

I wonder why, if I speak against illegal immigrants, should anybody call me a racist. As far as I know, no other country wants this scourge. I just want to protect Malta and whatever is Maltese.

Unlike previous invaders, who were armed, and whom we defeated thanks to the courage of our fore-fathers, we are now being invaded much more subtly, but invaded nevertheless. After all, these "invaders" are relying on human pity and compassion to which we, as Christians, can easily succumb.

Illegal immigrants are already present in large numbers in places like Birzebbuga and Safi. They are a growing strain on our limited and fast dwindling resources.

Some Maltese, who are out of touch with reality, want to be seen as kind-hearted missionaries. Well, these people should then go to Africa, where they could carry out a real mission and teach the locals about responsible parenthood and family planning, rather than have many children in miserable conditions.

We also have the problem of illegal Chinese immigration. There is already a Chinatown in Msida behind the church and at Ta' Giorni!

There obviously has to be a limit to illegal immigration. Malta is a very small island, and any agreement about repatriation and resettlement with third countries should keep this fact in mind.

I believe all illegal immigrants should be sent back to their countries and stopped from entering Maltese territorial waters. Naturally we should continue to provide assistance in cases of emergency and in humanitarian circumstances, but they should be told bluntly that Malta cannot afford to accommodate them.

Some pressure groups are telling us to integrate with these illegal immigrants and even give them Maltese citizenship! The danger of further uncontrolled illegal immigration is that Malta's culture will soon be diluted to a point that it will no longer be recognisable.

I have not gone into other social aspects of this invasion by illegal immigrants, such as the potential rise in crime and possibly the spread of infectious diseases. I urge those in power to do have the courage to say "enough!" to this invasion of the Maltese Islands.
