Joseph J. Mifsud wrote about protruding tow bars (August 30). I happen to be one who had the rear bumper of my car smashed by a tow bar while correctly parked in Amery Street, Sliema, some three months ago.

Naturally, the person who smashed my car remains unknown to me but in my heart I offered up a prayer to whoever it might be for causing me to incur an expenditure of Lm80 to have the bumper repaired.

Now I know better. While parking my car, I'm always careful not to park anywhere near a car with protruding tow bars. I try to find another parking place. I leave the owner enjoy his hobby, but not at my expense.
