I refer to the letter Four-Storey Project (September 6).

The Malta Environment and Planning Authority thanks Charles Micallef for his cooperation in providing us with the exact location of the site in question. From the official documentation it is evident that everything is in order and the development is covered by the necessary permits.

The four-storey development (PA 3308/03) which is referred to is in accordance with the approved building alignment of the street. The site is zoned in an area that does not require the inclusion of a front garden upon development - the zoning is not a Mepa policy or regulation but is part of the Temporary Provision Schemes (TPS) that had been established by the Maltese Parliament.

Regarding the widening of the pavement or the traffic management in the street (to prevent accidents), these are issues that fall under the jurisdiction of the local council. They have the authority and obligation to address such issues.
