A young Libyan man was yesterday given a two-year jail term suspended for four years when he admitted to the violent indecent assault of a Maltese woman in a St Julians public garden on Sunday.

Mahmoud MohammedAbudraa, 24, was also charged with offending public morals and the illegal possession of a knife.

Police Inspector Mario Tonna prosecuted. Lawyer Beppe Fenech Adami represented Mr Abudraa.
