Three injured in Gozo road accident

Two men and a woman were injured in an accident yesterday morning when the driver lost control of the vehicle they were in and crashed against the wall enclosing a field in Marsalforn.

A 21-year-old from Ghajnsielem was driving his Suzuki Jeep along Triq Ir-Rabat at about 6.30 a.m. when, for some reason, he lost control of the vehicle, the police said.

In the vehicle with him were a 20-year-old woman from Victoria and a 21-year-old man from Xewkija.

They were taken to the Gozo Hospital were it was established that the driver and the woman suffered serious injuries whereas the other passenger had suffered slight injuries. The seriously injured were not in danger of dying the police said.
