Mr GEORGE O. ATTARD and Ms ANITA ZAMMIT
The Mare Nostrum Restaurant at the Black Pearl was recently the venue of the marriage between GEORGE, son of Lt. Col and Mrs William Attard, and ANITA, daughter of Mr and Mrs Michael Zammit. The ceremony was witnessed by Mr David Mifsud and Dr Peter Borg Costanzi, LL.D. The bride was attended by the groom's daughter Ana, her cousin Beverly Caruana was bridesmaid, Alan, the groom's son, carried out the duties of best man, Miguel Zammit and Andrew Deguara, the brides' nephews, were pageboys. The couple spent their honeymoon in Jamaica.

Dr NICHOLAS I. BONELLO and Miss CLAIRE BOISCOThe marriage took place in Lugano, Switzerland, on August 20, between NICHOLAS, son of Mr and Mrs Michael C. Bonello of Sliema, and CLAIRE, daughter of Mr and Mrs Renzo Boisco of Lugano. The witnesses were Dr Jonathan M. Bonello, brother of the groom, and Dr Maurizio Boisco, the bride's brother. The duties of best man were carried out by Dr Giuseppe Siniscalchi.

Obituary

Attard. On September 3, at St James Capua Hospital, Carmelo (Sam), passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. Deeply mourned by his wife Lilian née Attard Montalto, his sons Philip and Andrew and his wife Anna, his grandchildren Nicola and Anthony, his sister Rose Portelli, Violet, widow of his brother Joe, relatives and friends. - R.I.P. BALZAN. Suddenly, on September 2, at Zejtun home for the elderly, MARIA, aged 71. She leaves to mourn her loss her son Joseph and his wife Marie, her daughter Marisa and her husband Manuel Sapiano, her grandchildren Karen, Anne Marie and Stefan, her brother Lorry Galea and his family, her in-laws, other relatives and friends. - R.I.P. CANN. With deepest regret we announce the death of our beloved father EDWARD of St Julian's, residing in Pembroke, who died on September 1, aged 77. He leaves to mourn his loss Doris, his daughters Doreen who lives in England, Juliana and her husband Alfred, their daughter Sharon, their son Bernard and his fiancée Rodianne, together with his sister Cecelia, Mary, Mike and their families. He leaves to mourn his irreparable loss his beloved wife Marlene née Micallef, his children Carmen and her husband Eugenio Bugeja, Joseph and his wife Theresa, Moira, and Roberta and her husband Pierre Casha, his adorable grandchildren Dillon, Ashley, Kyle, Katriss, Gayle, Christina and Gaia, his brothers and sisters John, Frances, Emanuel, Mary, Charles, Agnes and their spouses, his in-laws and their families, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends.
