A 50-year-old man has been jailed for six months after pleading guilty to stealing computer equipment from a hotel in St Julians earlier this year.
Magistrate Giovanni Grixti heard William Camilleri, of Sliema, plead guilty to stealing between Lm50 and Lm500 worth of equipment from Lapsi Hotel on July 23 and relapsing.
The magistrate recommended the director of prison to ensure Mr Camilleri follows a rehabilitation programme to rid him of his drinking habit.
Police Inspector Mario Tonna prosecuted.
