A Youth Parliament is to be held again this year, organised by the National Youth Council.

The first edition has been held in 2001 and was very successful, the council said.

The council has selected a group of young people from around Malta and Gozo and divided them into four groups or "parties", each of which will prepare a motion on a subject of great importance to the nation.

The four motions will be discussed during a sitting of the Youth Parliament at the House of Representatives in Valletta on September 15.
