The eurozone inflation for August is expected to be 2.1 per cent, according to a flash estimate issued by Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Communities.

It was 2.2 per cent in July.

Both the eurozone and EU25 GDP grew by 0.3 per cent in the second quarter of 2005.

In the first quarter, growth rates were 0.4 per cent in both zones.
