Malta is the only country in Europe that does not have a definitive map highlighting public and private passages. Yet the Malta Tourism Authority has taken things into its own hands and promotes the country walk from Sannat past dolmen and temple sites to the Ta' Cenc clifftop on its Website.

After stopping a walking tour organised by Ceratonia Foundation last weekend the Ta' Cenc hotel owner was said to have backed down. The walk was the second in a series inspired by fears that golf development will devour precious remaining landscapes with construction-hungry projects for apartments and villas which invariably accompany golf courses once these are approved.
