Maybe few would know that this year Naxxar Lions FC president Michael Zammit Tabona is celebrating his 20th year at the helm of our club.

He took over in 1985 and brought about great changes to a team from a modest village like ours.

With him as president, Naxxar Lions again established themselves among the teams from the top two divisions in Maltese football.

As part of the celebrations marking Mr Zammit Tabona's 20 years as president, the committee will hold a reception on Friday evening at the club's premises.

For the occasion we are urging former and current squad players, coaches and officials to join in the festivities in honour of Mr Zammit Tabona who has done great things for our club.
