New capital secured funds

HSBC Bank International has just announced the latest tranche of the capital-secured growth funds composed of five new investment funds, some of which concentrate on the UK and Asian equity markets while including, for the first time, a "more wide-reaching" capital secured commodity fund.

The UK Growth Fund, the Japan Bonus Fund, the UK Bonus Income Fund, the Asia Opportunity Fund and the Global Commodity Income Fund are designed to offer the investor a mix of three or five-year investment terms, growth or income and growth potential with some cases offering additional minimum return at the end of the period.

All the funds offer full capital protection and are denominated in either euro, US dollars or pounds sterling. The minimum investment required is US$/e/£5,000.

The offer is available until October 4 but customers who invest up to September 5 (included) will benefit from free shares that range from 0.17 per cent to 0.41 per cent, depending on the currency of issue.

This new issue is a limited offer and may close early if oversubscribed.
