Olympic decathlon champion Roman Sebrle and his Czech team mate Tomas Dvorak were cleared yesterday of any doping infringement after receiving injections during Wednesday's world championships final.

In a statement the International Association of Athletics Fede-rations (IAAF) said the Helsinki laboratory had not discovered any evidence of manipulation in the athletes' urine samples.

"A full investigation into alleged intravenous infusions by the athletes prior to the 1,500m has been completed and it has been agreed that no further action will be taken," the IAAF said.

Intravenous injections are prohibited if they are intended to alter an athlete's urine sample.
