Marsaxlokk scrapyard

We are constantly told to safeguard the environment. But the powers that be should be the first to give the proverbial example.

Marsaxlokk is being touted as a typical Maltese village. But on entering the village from the San Luciano side, the first thing that meets the eye is a scrapyard full of rusty boat trailers of all sizes.

I remember the trees bordering the ex-Services slipway here. Now some trailers have been parked between the trees, which I am sure is the first step to removing the remaining trees to make more way for even more trailers.
