Club for cancer patients' children

A summer club for the children and grandchildren of cancer patients, organised by the Malta Hospice Movement, is being sponsored by the HSBC Cares For Children Fund.

The summer club, run by trained volunteers, offers the children and their families respite from caring for relatives suffering from cancer by providing twice weekly outings throughout the summer months.

The HSBC Cares For Children Fund sponsorship was presented by HSBC Balzan branch manager Mark Azzopardi Bencini to the treasurer of the Malta Hospice Movement, Maria Ruggier. Also present were Gloria Spiteri, organiser of the summer club, and the volunteers who will be caring for the children.
