Obituary
FARRUGIA. On August 10, CARMELO, aged 93, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. Deeply mourned by his children Joseph and his wife Phyllis, Neville, Victor and his wife Yvonne, Mario and his wife Rita, Noel and Rosette, his grandchildren Jacqueline, John, Louise, Bonnie, Valerie, Jeanette and Francesca, his great- grandchildren Nicola, Michaela and Nathan, other relatives and friends. - R.I.P.
Mass praesente cadavere will be said today at 2 p.m. at the chapel of Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery followed by interment. Donations to Dar tal-Providenza, Siggiewi will be appreciated. Lord grant him eternal rest.

Claims manager
Galea Insurance Brokers has appointed Dobrinka Georgieva as its new claims manager.
Ms Georgieva holds insurance qualifications from the Chartered Insurance Institute of the UK. She was employed with one of the largest Bulgarian insurance companies, Bulstradt.
Jörg Bachmann, a German student from BFS für Fremdsprachen, situated in Chemnitz, Saxony will be helping Ms Georgieva over the coming months.
Mr Bachmann is a Leonardo da Vinci student who has come to Malta under an agreement that was entered into between Future Focus and BFS für Fremdsprachen.
HMS Danae association
An association is being set up in London for former Royal Navy servicemen who served on HMS Danae in the 1960s and 1970s.
HMS Danae had accompanied Queen Elizabeth II's visit to Brazil and paid visits to Japan, Hong Kong and South Africa with several Maltese servicemen on board.

Missing pets
The owner of a bitch is appealing for the return of her pet that went missing last Friday morning.
Stephanie Magri said that although she lost Pixie at Bidnija, the dog may be trying to find her way home in St Julians. Ms Magri may be contacted on 2136 1167.
Also missing is a white cat named Puxa. Anyone seeing it may call 7947 2636 or 9949 3838. A reward will be given for its safe return.
