Sergio Afric yesterday resumed his duties as coach of Division One side Neptunes Vodafone.

Earlier this week, the Croat had informed the club that he wanted to terminate his two-year contract, his decision probably influenced by the team's poor show so far in the ASA Division One league.

But, after a clear-the-air meeting with club officials yesterday, during which both sides explained their position, it was agreed that Afric will continue with his job at the Balluta Bay club.

His main task will be to try and steer the side back into the reckoning after slipping to bottom place following an unexpected 10-7 defeat to Sirens last week.

In Afric's brief absence, training was conducted by assistant coach Karl Izzo.

Neptunes' next match in the league is against Marsascala Breakers tomorrow.
