Beer prices

I refer to the letter Price of Beer by Malcolm Mifsud (August 4). I would like to clarify the matter of beer prices at The Farsons Great Beer Festival for Mr Mifsud.

Firstly, the beer festival itself comes at a huge cost in terms of organisation to Simonds Farsons Cisk plc. Secondly, over 40 entertainment acts, infrastructural set-up, permits, staff, light and sound systems are contracted and paid.

In turn, all this is offered for free to all visitors to the festival as; unlike many other live music events, no festival entrance fee is charged.

Farsons annually endeavours to create a unique environment for everyone to enjoy themselves. This is evidenced by the ever increasing tens of thousands of visitors each year.
