When is a bus lane not a bus lane? When it is blocked by two or three cars lined up and waiting to be booked by the wardens.

For the last three weeks, I have noticed on a daily basis that two wardens stop cars that are travelling on the bus lane in the Rabat Road. They do not ask them to move out of the lane to keep it free for buses to speed through but rather stop them there for quite some time until particulars are taken.

Apparently this happens throughout the three hours that the bus lane is open each morning.

The consequence is that on-coming buses have to switch lanes into the normal traffic lane. Should not these wardens be booked themselves for defeating the whole purpose of having a bus lane?
