Speed limits

Further to the letter by Adrian Mifsud (Speed Cameras, August 2), I would like to know who are the wise guys who changed the speed limits from miles to km/hour?

Malta speed limits used to be 30mph in built-up areas, 40mph in main roads and 50mph on highways.

Some genius does not know that 50mph becomes 80kph not 50kph.

Also, speed camera signs should be as big as large highway signs and highly visible. CCTV signs should be very different.
