Having visited Malta on several occasions as a tourist and an aviation enthusiast I was very impressed with the restoration of the WWII Hawker Hurricane fighter aircraft at the Malta Aviation Museum. I believe it will take pride of place in their new Air Battle of Malta Memorial hanger alongside the Spitfire and other significant aircraft which played a vital role in the defence of Malta in WWII.

However, having also visited the War Museum in Valletta I was saddened to see the forlorn state of the sea Gladiator, making it a prime candidate for restoration and TLC which has been applied to the aircraft at the Aviation Museum. Their future plans for expansion are a credit to their dedication and many hours of hard work, relying mainly on donations and membership fees. The old planes have now become part of the heritage of Malta and should be preserved for future generations.

My question is: Cannot the powers that be make sure that the sea Gladiator named Faith is taken to its rightful place at Ta' Qali Museum where it can be restored to its former glory?
