The Rotary District Governor for Sicily and Malta, Arcangelo Lacagnina and his wife Silvana, together with a delegation from the district, visited Dar Il-Kaptan, a respite home for the handicapped which is financially assisted by Rotary Club Malta.

Dar Il-Kaptan in Marfa caters for the needs of over 300 families wishing to use the respite facilities.

The home has just had a new extension. It is fully air-conditioned and has been provided with a brand new Mercedes van. All these projects were financed by Rotary Club Malta.

During his visit, Governor Lacagnina presented the home with a financial contribution from the district plus his own substantial personal contribution.

Mr Lacangnina was much impressed with the home and the work being done by all the workers. The cheque was presented to the administrator of the home, Harry Fenech, who is the Rotary Malta Club's President.

The District Governor for Sicily and Malta for the year 2006- 2007 will be Alfred Mangion.
