The stretch of road between the Mtarfa roundabout and Targa Gap, Mosta was officially opened by Roads Minister Jesmond Mugliett (on left in picture) on Monday.

The three-kilometre road, rebuilt from scratch over the past months, is the third part of the roads project funded by the fifth Italian protocol.

About two months ago, two parts of Mdina Road linking Qormi and Zebbug were opened to traffic, together with a newly built road linking Zebbug and Rabat, totalling seven of the 16 kilometres of roads that are to be built in the project.
