The Malta Mountain Bike Association will be holding a 30-hour marathon in aid of ir-Razzett tal-Hbiberija.

The event will take place on July 29 and 30 on the grounds of ir-Razzett tal-Hbiberija, Marsascala.

Mountain bike enthusiasts of all ages and abilities are invited to take part in this event.

The first team of riders will set out on the pre-designated course next Friday at 6 p.m. Participants will race according to a roster, covering 30 straight hours of mountain bike activity around the Razzett area until midnight on Saturday.

A minimum sponsorship fee of Lm20 has been earmarked for collection by each participant. This will also include a pasta party on Friday night and a barbecue on Saturday night. Family and friends are urged to attend and support the riders at all time.

BMX Fest

Meanwhile, the BMX Fest, organised by the BMX Association in collaboration with the Sports for All campaign, gets underway today with a fun ride from Ta' Xbiex.

Cyclists will pass through Sliema, St Julian's and Swieqi before arriving at the BMX track in Pembroke.

The BMX Fest continues tomorrow morning at the track and concludes on Sunday with the presentation night.
