An external area is being constructed at the Playmobil Funpark in Hal-Far and is due to be ready by September.

The installation of the roof on one of the theme activity areas was recently celebrated with a traditional German ritual called the Richtfest. Workers cheered at the sound of the last nail being hammered in the uppermost beam and Marcus Roettig, a master carpenter, toasted the funpark and the workers on site.

The ritual is practised to wish good health and prosperity to the buildings' future occupants.

The Playmobil Funpark is open Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. and from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Sundays. For more information call 2224 2445.
