Despite taking all the measures possible to control the presence of mice and insects in the government hospital, no one and nothing can guarantee that any particular building would be free from these species, Government's Department of Information said yesterday.

In was commenting on the sighting of a mouse in one of the offices at St Luke's Hospital yesterday at about 8 a.m. The report about the sighting was made to the hospital Superintendent.

The DOI said that as a precaution, members of the public who were in the waiting area were asked to leave the room and immediate action was taken to restore the situation to normality.

The hospital authorities also engaged the services of a private contractor to remove the inconvenience.
