Fuego halt All Ages' stride

The Malta Netball Association season came to a close last Sunday with yet another challenge between All Ages Eurochange and Fuego at the University Sports Hall. At stake was the Super Cup.

All Ages were looking to gain a treble of honours after the league and KO wins but Fuego were all-out not to finish the season empty-handed. In the end, their persistence was rewarded.

The match started on a balanced note but it was All Ages who enjoyed a slight lead midway through the game.

Fuego intensified their efforts and by the end of the third quarter they managed to put their noses in front by a single shot.

In the last period of play, Fuego stepped up their game and with an assuring lead in hand they opted to administer their advantage by keeping ball possession.

This tactic made All Ages lose composure, failing to cancel a four-shot disadvantage.

Fuego eventually prevailed 25-21 to slightly make up for their season's disappointment of missing out on the league and the knock-out competition.
