Dr LARS AAKERØY, MD and Dr RACHEL CASSAR, MDThe marriage took place on Wednesday, June 29, between LARS, son of Mr Ståle and Mrs Randi Aakerøy of Brønnøysund, Norway, and RACHEL, daughter of Dr Anthony and Mrs Mary Ann Cassar of Balzan. Nuptial Mass was celebrated by Rev. Professor Peter Serracino Inglott at the Annunciation of Our Lady parish church, Balzan. Mr Egil Aakerøy, uncle of the groom, and Ms Margaret Parascandalo, aunt of the bride, witnessed the ceremony. The bride was attended by Ms Ragnhild Aakerøy, Ms Gabrielle Cassar and Ms Andrea Parascandalo, together with Ms Emma and Ms Hedvig Ernø as flower-girls and Master Peder Ernø as pageboy. Mr Simon Montagno Bozzone carried out the duties of best man, while Mr Martin Aakerøy, Mr Benjamin Cassar, Mr Tommy Fagerland, Mr John K. Johnsen and Mr Mark Lautier acted as groomsmen. A reception was later held at Palazzo Parisio, Naxxar. The couple are spending their honeymoon in Paris.

Mr JAMES GRECH, B.Com. (Hons), DBM (Henley) and Ms FIONA FENECH, B.Pharm. (Hons) The marriage took place on Saturday, July 2, between JAMES, son of Mr and Mrs Joseph Grech of Zabbar, and FIONA, daughter of Mr and Mrs Saviour V. Fenech of Dingli, residing at Mosta. Nuptial Mass was celebrated at the Capuchins' church, Floriana, by Mgr Pedro Fenech, the bride's uncle, assisted by Mgr Francisco Tabone Adami and Fr Andrea Zammit, missionaries in Brazil. Dr Michael Grech, BA, LL.D., the groom's brother, and Mrs Moira Catania, BA (Hons) (Econ.), MA (European Studies), the bride's sister, witnessed the ceremony, while Mr Josef Grech, BASHA (USA), Dip. HM, and Mr Aldo Catania, acted as ushers. Mr Alan Galea carried out the duties of best man. Ms Maria Grech, the groom's sister, was bridesmaid, Master Nathan Grech and Master Eric Catania were ring-bearers. A reception was later held at Le Meridien Phoenicia, Floriana. The couple are on their honeymoon in Mexico and Cuba.

Fr Claude Portelli celebrated nuptial Mass at Our Lady of the Grotto church, Rabat. Mr Gordon Ransley and Mrs Josephine Terreni witnessed the ceremony. Miss Frances Cassar Torreggiani, Miss Mary Cassar Torreggiani and Miss Jacqueline Ransley attended the bride, while Master Harry Parnis England acted as pageboy and Miss Maya Parnis England acted as flower-girl. (Hons) The marriage took place on Saturday, July 2, at St Mary's church, Birkirkara, between PHILIP, son of Mr John Tabone and Mrs Rosalind Tabone of Sliema, and GISELLE, daughter of Mr Neville Mallia and Mrs Josephine Mallia of San Gwann. Nuptial Mass was celebrated by Fr Stefan Attard. The ceremony was witnessed by Mr Etienne Mallia and Mrs Michelle Sharma. The bride was attended by Ms Amanda de Marco, and Ms Roberta Zammit La Rosa was maid of honour. The duties of best man were carried out by Mr Robert Calleja. Obituary

Cini. On July 8, at her summer residence in Bugibba, Agnes née Camilleri, formerly of Birkirkara, widow of Saviour Cini, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Joe, Charles, Evelyn, Lucy and her husband Victor Zahra, Rose and her husband Eddie Borg, Ritchie and her husband Mario Magro, Frans and his wife Marthese, her sister Violet Frendo, widow of Charles, brothers and sisters, in-laws, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Funeral arrangements will be announced later.

PACE. On July 3, EMMANUEL (Emmle) passed peacefully away in Canada, comforted by the rites of Holy Church and surrounded by all his family. He leaves to mourn his great loss his wife Loretta née O'Heron, his daughter Anna Marie and her husband Barry, his sons Greg and his wife Kim, Michael and his wife Sandra, Timothy and his wife Heather, together with his five grandchildren Isabel, Kate, Sarah, Andrew and Stephen, his sister Giusa Zammit Pace, his brother Frank, his two sisters-in-law Inez Pace and Carmelina Pace, and all his nephews and nieces in Malta. The funeral took place in Canada on July 8. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

Pantalleresco. On July 9, May, aged 64, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. Much loved and mourned by her sisters Josephine and her husband Cecil Azzopardi, Sr Eugenia of the Ursuline Sisters, her niece Mariella and her husband Raymond von Brockdorff, her nephew Ivan Azzopardi, her great-nieces Lisa and Lara, her great-nephews Mark and Julian, numerous relatives and friends. - R.I.P. The funeral leaves St Luke's Hospital onTuesday at 8.25 a.m. for St Gregory's church in Sliema, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 8.45 a.m., followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery.
