New Gozo Channel head 'well suited'

The Gozo Tourism Association said Gozitan Joe Borg, the newly-appointed chairman of Gozo Channel Co. Ltd, was well suited for this position.

The company was vital to the tourism industry and the association said it now looked forward to more understanding of the problems of accessibility faced by the island.

"Gozo Channel is the main road between the two islands and we are confident that Mr Borg is capable and has the will power to solve every difficulty in maintaining regular, smooth and upgraded services for the Maltese and tourists alike," the association said.

The association pledged Mr Borg its full cooperation.
