What is being proposed for Zebbug?

Zebbug is a residential, commercial and to some extent an industrial locality. Policies seek to contain the expansion of industrial uses as well as protecting the residential amenity of the locality. An area in Hal-Dwien is being zoned as a green area since this is an important open space within the urban conservation area.

The plan covers the Hal Mula industrial area (SMZG 01); the zoning of Hal Dwien area as a green area (SMZG 02); industrial uses in Triq Dun Luret Callus (SMZG 03) and the rezoning of site at Triq Hal Mula (SMZG 04).

What is being proposed for Zejtun?

Zejtun also includes the industrial area of Bulebel, but is mainly a residential area, with some commercial activity. Policies seek to improve traffic management within the village core and are proposing a new route, partly making use of existing rural roads, to link Triq il-Falkunier with Triq Bormla to facilitate traffic movement in this part of Zejtun. Recreational facilities are proposed at Triq A. Cachia Zammit. The plan also proposes a rationalisation of the Bulebel Industrial Estate to protect agricultural land.

The plan covers a northern relief road (SMZN 01); the redefinition of Bulebel industrial area boundary (SMZN 02); and the rezoning of site at Misrah l-Indipendenza and public urban open space in Triq A. Cachia Zammit (SMZN 03).
