Helping the poor

In the name of the Sisters of Charity working in the poor area of Faisalabad in Pakistan, I wish to thank the Mission Fund for their generous donation of Lm500 for our mission. With this money we can help all the poor people who come to our dispensary and also the sick in their homes. We must also provide their medicines as they are unable to buy them. Even to buy the necessary food is a problem for them.

The basic needs, such as water and toilets, are lacking everywhere and many people suffer from scabies. Now there are cases of hepatitis and treatment is very expensive.

We can carry on this work only with the help of generous hearts, like the Mission Fund. We thank each one of you and encourage you to send used stamps, telecards and donations to the Mission Fund so that they, in turn, will help us, the Maltese missionaries working in the poor countries of the world.
