Pietà school at St Georges d'Esperanche

Hookham Frere Primary School in Pietà last year started participating in a Comenius I Project with other European schools from Italy and France.

At the end of a very successful first year, two teachers from Hookham Frere, Stefano Farrugia and Vanessa Camilleri, visited St Georges d'Esperanche, a village near Lyons, where the school, Ecole Elementaire Publique A. et M. Mollet, is one of the partner schools.

The other school was Primo Circolo Didattico di Settimo Torinese, Turin. Next year a school from Finland, Myllyojan Koulu, will join in the project.

The visit was extremely successful and fruitful. The teachers exchanged views and ideas and prepared the programme for next year.

The theme chosen this year was "Legends, Myths and Celebrations" of the corresponding countries or regions. The theme chosen for next year will be "Traditional Dances and Children's Tales".
