Education Minister Louis Galea has appealed to all employers to "discover" the brains, talents and creativity that are to be found in Maltese and Gozitan youths studying at the Malta College of Arts, Science and Technology.

He was speaking at the inauguration of the second MCAST exhibition by the students of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineering.

The institute is holding its annual exhibition of projects until tomorrow at St James Cavalier, Centre for Creativity, in Valletta from 9.30 a.m. to 9 p.m.

One of the aims of this year's exhibition is to provide information for prospective students about the work being done at the institute and to encourage further links with industry.

The institute houses over 600 students.

Next scholastic year, a new course in plasma/LCD technology and TFT will be introduced for the first time in conjunction with the College of North West London. Eventually this course will be totally run by the institute.

Besides the academic activities, students are offered exchange opportunities. This year, one group of four students will be going on their first exchange experience to France, while another group of four will be visiting Germany.
