A legal aid lawyer yesterday sent an official letter to the permanent secretary at the Ministry of Justice and to the Attorney General asking them to pay him for work carried out between May 2004 and last June.

Malcolm Mifsud called on the authorities to pay him Lm3,600 owed to him for work he carried out as a legal aid. The lawyer warned he would take legal action unless he was paid within four days.

Dr Franco Depasquale signed the letter.
