Six held over drugs

Six men aged between 17 and 23 from Mellieha, Siggiewi and Nadur were arrested by the police after they were found in possession of drugs at a party in the north of Malta on Monday night, the police said yesterday.

The police said the arrests were carried out after body searches yielded a number of ecstasy pills and the drug cannabis resin.

The police drug squad is conducting investigations.
