When the House of Representatives meets this evening Justice Minister Tonio Borg is due to move for first reading a Bill entitled Implementation Of Various Measures Relating To Judicial And Administrative Actions Bill.

The House will then resume its second reading debate on the Arms Bill.

The debate opened last week and the opposition has said it will vote in favour. However, some MPs have expressed contrasting views on the minimum age limit for children to use airguns at shooting ranges, which is being brought down to 14. Also meeting today are the House Business Committee, the Committee for Consideration of Bills and a working group of the Foreign and European Affairs committee. The working group meets in camera to discuss Malta's position ahead of EU decision-making on proposed directives and council decisions.
