I was of the opinion that traffic wardens are exemplary drivers with strict observance of traffic regulations. Regrettably this has changed after seeing a traffic warden driving a car at 7.45 p.m. on June 18 past the Carmelite church at Balluta in St Julians. He had his left hand on the steering wheel while his right hand was holding a mobile phone to his ear. It would be interesting to know if traffic wardens are exempted from this part of the traffic regulations.
