Marsascala worries

The Marsascala Shops Association has congratulated Mepa for publishing the draft Marsascala local plan.

The association said, however, it would have preferred the plan to have been issued earlier as was the case with other areas, particularly tourism zones.

While appreciating the amount of work done by Mepa officials in order to come up with the plan, the association expressed concern that the recycling plant and the fish farms issues were not given enough importance.

The concerns and worries of the public and the business community do not seem to have been taken into account when the plan was drafted, the association said.
