New premises to be inaugurated on July 2

The Table Tennis Academy is marking its second year of operation with a number of activities aimed at promoting the sport in Malta and improving the level of play of our young generation.

The Academy will be inaugurating new premises at the Civil Service Sports Centre in Archbishop Street, Valletta during an open day to be held on July 2.

Serving as an addition to the Academy's base at the Royal Overseas Sports Centre, also in Valletta, the new premises are equipped with five Tibhar tables to provide top-quality facilities.

Exhibition matches by the Academy coaches with the participation of the top students will be held during the open day.

There will also be an ongoing knock-out tournament between the Academy students. The coaches will be on hand to offer technical advice to any interested persons attending the open day while video highlights from international table tennis championships will also be shown.

Milosz Pryzblik from Poland has agreed to be the Academy's main guest for their second anniversary celebrations.

Pryzblik will be giving courses during the summer months both at the Civil Service Sports Centre and at the Royal Overseas Centre.

Anyone interested in joining the summer school and learn table tennis skills can visit the Academy's website at www.tabletennisacademy.com or call 7959-1799 or 9947-0278 for further information.
