Cameroon striker Samuel Eto'o (picture) said he turned down a large offer from Chelsea to agree a contract extension at Primera Liga champions Barcelona.
"Chelsea made me a superior offer but money doesn't bring happiness. I wanted to stay at this club and the president knew it," Eto'o told sports daily Marca yesterday.
"My wife was worried that the weather wasn't very good in London, but I have been able to reassure her that everything has been sorted out and we are staying in Barcelona.
"Everything is agreed and now my dream is to win the Champions League."
The 24-year-old striker, who scored 24 goals last season, is expected to sign a contract extension until 2010, becoming the fourth player to confirm his commitment to the Catalan club.
Portugal midfielder Deco, Spain midfielder Xavi and young right back Damia Abella have signed extensions at the Nou Camp since Barca secured the league title last month.
