Malta International Airport plc has obtained a fifth placing in the latest AETRA Global Monitor for overall client satisfaction among all European Airports.
In the past three years since MIA has started to adhere to this AETRA monitor it has achieved a high ranking on two occasions.
The survey is a joint airport official research study conducted by IATA, the International Air Travel Association, and ACI, the Airports Council International.
The exercise analyses the perceptions of over 84,000 international travellers and provides an up-to-date marketing index that measures the quality of service provided at 49 airports of various sizes and ownership structures in all five continents.
MIA also came second within the smaller category (less than 5 million passenger per annum) worldwide.
Peter Bolech, chief executive officer of Malta International Airport, and Austin Calleja, chief financial officer, went to Kuala Lumpur to receive this prestigious award from AETRA.
