Industrial dispute at Co-cathedral Foundation

The General Workers' Union (GWU) yesterday registered an industrial dispute with the St John's Co-cathedral Foundation and gave it notice of industrial action.

The GWU said the dispute was registered after the foundation did not reply to counterproposals by the union regarding a claim for increases in the remuneration of part-time custodians.

During a meeting for the part-time custodians earlier this week, it was decided to resort to industrial action in the coming days, which would carry on until an agreement between the two parties is reached.
