A Lija man was yesterday fined Lm1,500 for handling bathroom items that had been stolen from a house under construction.

Magistrate Saviour Demicoli fined Clinton Borg, 23, after hearing how he was found in possession of items - including a toilet, a sink and bathroom tiles - which had been stolen from a St Julians house.

Police Inspector Mario Tonna prosecuted.
