Liverpool's German midfielder Dietmar Hamann says he has agreed a new deal that will keep him at the European champions for at least another year.
The 31-year-old has played more than 250 games for Liverpool since joining from Newcastle in 1999 and his current deal is about to expire.
Hamann helped Liverpool come from 3-0 down to win the Champions League on penalties last month, turning around the final against Milan after being sent on by manager Rafael Benitez as a second-half substitute.
"The gaffer (manager) said we would wait until after the final before we had a meeting and that's what we did. We came to an agreement instantly," Hamann said.
"I'll be here next season and hopefully for the next two years. Once Liverpool made me an offer, there was only one place I wanted to play my football."
