About 8,000 tickets have already been snapped up for the Australian Pink Floyd Show scheduled for later this month.
Mario Camilleri, from Pres International, which is organising the event together with The Point Production, said the original Pink Floyd had a big following here, which is leading fans to want to watch the tribute band.
The organisers are negotiating with two television stations - Magic TV and Oasis Satellite TV - that are keen to transmit the concert.
The concert will be held on a 60-foot stage which will be complete with pyrotechnics and light effects.
Apart from being the only tribute band to play at London's prestigious Royal Albert Hall, the Australian Pink Floyd were also asked to perform for Pink Floyd front man David Gilmour's 50th birthday celebrations.
The band is currently in South America. After that tour they will come to Malta on June 23 for the concert at the Luxol Grounds two days later.
Apart from bringing to Malta Pink Floyd's music, the concert will be addressing a good cause because it will help raise money for the Eden Foundation.
Mr Camilleri said a signed photograph of David Gilmour that the organisers have been promised will be given to the foundation to dispose of as it pleases, adding that Pres International was offering to buy back the photo for Lm200.
People will be able to donate money to the foundation during the half-hour break in the concert through their mobile phones.
The band will be playing 20 Pink Floyd songs lifted from the band's albums.
Tourism and Culture Minister Francis Zammit Dimech said the concert was good promotion for Malta and attracted tourists to the island.
Another Pink Floyd tribute band will be present in Malta and is expected to perform during the after-party to be held at Axis Discotheque.
